Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)
TCM is an ancient system of health and wellness that’s been used in China for millennia – a holistic approach that treats the whole person, not just the symptoms of a disease. In TCM in China, it’s believed an energy called “Qi” is inside us. When Qi moves freely, we’re healthy. But if it gets stuck or unbalanced, we can get sick.
(Our focus): One of the main tools in TCM is herbs. There are hundreds of different herbs from China and elsewhere, each with its own properties and uses. They are used indiviually or combine (formulas) to help restore the body. For example, some herbs might be used to boost energy levels, while others might help with relaxation or digestion. Some might help you relax or digest food better.
Native-Wellness focuses on herbs. But we have professionalized it as follows: 1) We only use herbs that have significant evidence of working (research studies). 2) We work with you to avoid those you may have allergies to. 3) We work to avoid those with toxins and heavy metals (a serious problem in China and India). 4) We seek to source our herbs from the most trustworthy vendors possible.
TCM also uses disciplines like acupuncture (putting thin needles into the body), cupping (suction on the skin to help blood flow), and exercises like tai chi or qi gong to keep Qi moving. We do not provide acupuncture or cupping.
Everyone is different in TCM, so your treatment will be customized for you. It’s a natural way of keeping healthy that’s been around for a long time.

Native Wellness
Native Wellness has multiple modalities to assist with gut health. This includes lifestyle, dietary, supplemental, and other practices. Unlike many “practitioners”, who have no idea whether or not their offerings work, we base everything on research/medical studies as well as personal experience and deep biological knowledge.
