Traditional Chinese Medicine FAQs
A: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic healthcare system with roots in Taoist philosophy and a history of 5,000 years. TCM views the body as an interconnected system, focusing on restoring harmony by balancing Yin (nurturing energy) and Yang (active energy) and enhancing the flow of Qi (vital life force). It embraces a holistic view of the human body and applies natural therapies such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage (tui na), dietetics, and exercise (qigong) to promote wellness.
Native-Wellness.com services focus on research-based Chinese Medicine (Plant Medicine), but can include dietary, qi gong (breath & movement exercises) disciplines and Lifestyle suggestions – tailored to the individual’s needs. We do not practice Acupuncture or Chinese massage.
